Deutsche Bahn: All pupils with a 1 can travel for free in Bavaria
Anyone with a grade of one in their report card can travel for free by train in Bavaria on the first day of the summer holidays. The free travel for pupils and pupils applies on July 29 from 0 o'clock to 24 o'clock in all local transport in Bavaria in the 2nd class, announced Deutsche Bahn in Munich on Tuesday. Anyone wishing to take advantage of the offer must bring a copy of their report card and a valid personal, child or student ID.
The free travel applies to pupils and pupils at primary, secondary, grant-aided, vocational, real, technical and business upper schools, as well as grammar schools in Bavaria. The condition is a grade of one, a "very good" grade, an equivalent grade point average or a very good verbal assessment in the report card.
On individual routes, pupils with a grade of one can travel to Baden-Württemberg, Thuringia and Austria on the first holiday day over the state borders. The offer will be financed by the participating railway companies, said a spokeswoman for Deutsche Bahn.
