Denmark Wins Eurojackpot

In the recent Eurojackpot draws, no grand prize was won, but the Eurojackpot has now been cracked. 120 million euros have been awarded to Denmark. The second place winnings also went to Denmark, totaling approximately 7.8 million euros for two fortunate players or betting communities.

A player or betting community in Denmark has successfully matched the winning numbers of 1, 3, 24, 43, 49, and the double Euro numbers 2 and 4, marking the first time after 11 consecutive draws without a primary prize, according to a Westlotto announcement following the Helsinki draw.

There were 13 players who correctly predicted the winning numbers in the third class, one of whom was from Germany. The lucky Germans distributed the winnings of around 137,000 euros amongst themselves. The exact breakdown was three players from Bavaria, two players from Hesse and Baden-Württemberg, and one player each from Berlin, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Schleswig-Holstein, along with one Greek winner.

To date, there have been two German lottery players who have both won 120 million euros. The first win occurred in Schleswig-Holstein in June 2023, while the second win took place in Berlin in November 2022. The Germans hold the nation's record. The first winner to triumph over 120 million euros was from Denmark in July 2022. The winnings then shifted to Norway in January 2024.

The Eurojackpot lottery, spanning 19 countries, has a cap on its top prize at 120 million euros. Any additional funds played contribute to the next tier of winnings. The odds of winning an award on the Eurojackpot are 1 in 140 million.
