Police control - Dealers caught without valid driver's license

The Police stopped a car dealer without a valid driver's license and with an unauthorized vehicle. The officers stopped the 63-year-old man on Sunday on the Autobahn 3 near Erlangen at a rest area, as the police reported.

According to the police, the man had never held a valid driver's license in Germany. A police spokesperson stated that the dealer had lived in Germany for nine years. He should have had his Russian driver's license converted at the latest after six months. His transporter was also not authorized. The dealer had bought the transporter and simply attached the number plate of another vehicle instead of a red overage permit sign.

The officers initially blocked the transporter, and the man had to find another way home, a police spokesperson said. The police are now investigating, among other things, driving without a license and license plate misuse.

The incident occurred in Middle Franconia, which is a part of Bavaria, located in Germany. The dealer, residing in Germany for nine years, should have converted his Russian driver's license within six months, as required by law. Unfortunately, he was caught driving without a valid German driver's license. The unauthorized vehicle was also used to transport goods, which is a breach of traffic regulations. In North Rhine-Westphalia, where the automobile industry is significant, such criminality can have severe consequences for both individuals and businesses.
