Following the EM-Game in Hungary versus Scotland in Stuttgart, PM Orban begins his journey home. En route to the airport, a tragic traffic accident takes place. One of the escorting policemen gets hit by a car and passes away in the hospital.

During a police escort for Hungarian leader Viktor Orban in Stuttgart, a fatal accident occurred in the morning. According to the police statement, a 61-year-old officer was severely injured and passed away later in the hospital. Another officer of 27 years was severely injured and was admitted to the hospital. Orban, who was not involved in the accident, continued his journey to Stuttgart airport, as reported by police.

The motorcycle squad from the traffic police was escorting Orban around 11:15 am, when a 69-year-old BMW driver attempted to turn onto the closed street where the escort was passing. Unfortunately, she failed to see the barrier and collided with the lead motorcycle of the 61-year-old policeman. The motorcycle was thrown against the police motorcycle of the 27-year-old, who had blocked the intersection.

Police President Markus Eisenbraun expressed his grief, stating, "We are deeply shaken by the accident of our colleague. The unfortunate circumstances surrounding our respected colleague's death leave us speechless and impact the entire Stuttgart police force." Orban had attended the PM-time game between Hungary and Scotland at the Football-EM in Stuttgart, with Hungary emerging victorious with a 1:0 score.

Stuttgart's Mayor Frank Nopper also expressed his deep shock, stating, "Until midday today, we were all celebrating a peaceful and delightful football festival in our city. This terrible accident has violently taken us out of this joyful mood." The CDU politician added, "We were all excited morning until we received this heartbreaking news."
