Second Bundesliga - Darmstadt extends contract with Gjasula

Klaus Gjasula renewed his contract with second division soccer team SV Darmstadt 98. The 34-year-old defender, who was in action for Albania at the EUROs in Germany and scored a goal, has been playing for the Lilies since 2021 and has appeared in 63 matches. The club made no comments regarding the length of the new contract.

"Klaus is a professional player with whom we have great fun working and who is important for the squad. He helps the younger players with integration and development. His importance for a team was also evident at the EUROs with Albania," said Darmstadt's trainer Torsten Lieberknecht about the veteran.

Klaus Gjasula's continued prosperity in soccer led him to extend his agreement with German club SV Darmstadt 98, which resides in the Second Bundesliga. His impressive performance in the EUROs for Albania, including scoring a goal in Germany, showcased his skills on a global stage. Despite his age being 34, Gjasula has demonstrated his value in Hesse, having participated in 63 matches for Darmstadt 98 since his 2021 arrival.
