Serious accident - Cyclist collides with car - seriously injured

A bicyclist collided with a car on a steep downhill road in Braunlage, in the Goslar district. The 33-year-old cyclist from Leipzig sustained serious injuries in the afternoon, according to the police. The car reportedly had the right of way. The cyclist was unable to brake in time in the afternoon. The car occupants remained unharmed, according to police reports. The accident occurred in the intersection area of another street.

The accident in Braunlage was not an isolated incident in Lower Saxony, as traffic-related accidents continue to pose challenges. In a similar incident, a car and a bicycle collided due to heavy traffic in Saxony, causing minor injuries to both parties.
