Criminals break into an armored truck at a rest stop
Just before 11 am, the drivers of a money transport truck park directly before a motorway rest stop and go eat. Within 30 minutes, criminals weld the armored vehicle and steal several money boxes.
Unknown individuals have intercepted a value transport truck on the A2 motorway rest stop at Bielefeld and stolen several money boxes. According to a police spokesperson, the incident occurred on a Thursday. The two drivers of the money transport truck had taken their midday break at the Lipperland-Süd rest stop, as the Bielefeld police reported.
Within barely 30 minutes, the criminals cut a hole in the sidewall of the Transporter with a grinder and stole three silver boxes with cash from the interior. A police spokeswoman initially refused to comment on the value of the loot.
Since the employees parked the Transporter on the parking lot directly before the restaurant and the crime took place in broad daylight, the police are hoping for potential witnesses and are asking them to report their observations.
