Filming for ARD series - Crew of the "WaPo Bodensee" struggles with mosquito infestation

The ARD prime-time series "WaPo Bodensee" film crew is currently dealing with the nuisances of a late summer heat wave during their shoots. "We're battling both the heat and the mosquitoes here, which have a much larger breeding ground since the Bodensee has risen by about 1.5 meters in the last few weeks and flooded all the shore regions," said actor Tim Wilde in a PR interview for the production. Wilde, who is 58 years old, wears a police uniform as Paul Schott in front of the camera.

Actress Marion Mitterhammer, who is the guest star of the current episode being produced, portrays an unscrupulous businesswoman. In real life, she gets along wonderfully with her colleagues and co-stars, as she puts it: "It's really amazingly human and sympathetic here."

Mitterhammer is soon embarking on a tour - with a "heart project." She is now "finally old enough," the 58-year-old says, to bring the diaries of the 50-year-old Empress Sisi back to life. With the program, she had already been in Austria; now she is also in Germany.

Twelve new episodes of "WaPo Bodensee" are expected to air by the end of the year, making it one of the most successful prime-time series on First. In January 2023, a ten-year high was reached on the airwaves with 3.37 million viewers and a 14.3% market share. New episodes of the series are predicted to be aired starting October 15, 2022, on Tuesdays at 6:50 pm on First.
