Accident at work - Crane topples onto building - two million euros in damage

At a workplace accident in the industrial area of Plankstadt (Rhein-Neckar-District), a crane overturned and caused damages amounting to approximately two million Euros. The crane was lifting a five-tonne work platform when it overturned, according to the police. In the process, the crane damaged a business building, a warehouse, and a residential building with a photovoltaic system.

No one was injured, as per the reports. The police are investigating the incident on Tuesday, primarily for potential hazardous conditions.

The Rhine-Neckar district, where the accident occurred, is located in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The industrial estate in Plankstadt, known for its industrial activities, was the site of the accident involving the overturned crane. Despite the significant damage caused to several buildings, no workplace accidents resulting in injuries were reported. Despite the absence of injuries, the police are conducting an investigation into potential hazardous conditions that might have contributed to the accident in the industrial estate.
