The debatable legislator - Could an AfD exist without Maximilian Krah? Perhaps, but it would be futile, suggests the politician.

Excluded from the AfD delegation in the new European Parliament, provocative MP Maximilian Krah won't independently join a right-wing faction for now, according to Politico (Tuesday). "My colleagues think they'll return to ID and have better chances if they forget about me," said Krah, "I believe that's a mistake, but I respect their decision." ID, also known as Identity and Democracy, consists of right-wing and nationalist parties.

Krah plans to observe this attempt as an observer, he declared. "I'm announcing now: It'll fall through. Then the deck will be reshuffled again."

The AfD was removed from the ID faction prior to the European election due to a variety of factors, including controversial comments from AfD candidate Krah regarding the SS and a China spy scandal involving one of Krah's aides.

To the AfD, Krah recommends teamwork

Moreover, Krah stated that the AfD should collaborate with other right-wing parties for a new faction in the EU Parliament. "There are many new, creative parties in the European Parliament, not at all dirty. We should have the courage to approach these parties who are now looking for the AfD."

On Monday, AfD MEPs voted on a motion to exclude Spitzenkandidat Krah from the delegation, leaving 15 AfD politicians in the new European Parliament, but with only 14 seats in the delegation. The AfD garnered 15.9% in the German European election on Sunday.
