In attempting to extinguish the flames of his burnt food, a man was slightly injured. According to the police in Eppingen (Heilbronn district), a damage of approximately half a million Euro occurred during the evening fire. It is said that oil-containing foods had caught fire on the stove. The resident suffered light burns on his head and arms, and was taken to the hospital with mild smoke inhalation.

The fire spread rapidly. The entire kitchen equipment began to burn, as the police further reported. Eventually, the entire residential building was on fire. The inhabitants were able to get themselves to safety. After approximately one hour, the fire was extinguished.

The local police in Eppingen, part of Baden-Württemberg's District Heilbronn, requested the assistance of the fire department due to the escalating fire situation. The fire department deployment was crucial in containing the blaze that had engulfed the entire kitchen equipment. Despite the successful fire extinguishing efforts, the damage to the residential building was estimated to be around half a million Euros.
