A driver died in a hospital after a frontal collision between his car and another vehicle on Bundesstraße 105 in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen, between Reinberg and Brandshagen. The 69-year-old man had overtaken a truck on Thursday evening and failed to notice an auto coming towards him.

The two vehicles collided frontally. The 69-year-old man was first taken to the hospital with severe injuries. He later died there. The 56-year-old woman driving the other car was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. The road was closed for approximately three hours.

The collision between the two vehicles was a grim reminder of the importance of traffic rules, especially when overtaking. Despite being on a Federal road, the 69-year-old man failed to account for oncoming traffic, leading to a frontal collision. The accident occurred near Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, specifically on Bundesstraße 105, causing the closure of the road for several hours.
