Coalition leaders continue negotiations on budget

According to information from the German Press Agency, the leaders of the "Ampel" coalition continued their talks on Tuesday about ways out of the budget crisis. Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck and Finance Minister Christian Lindner met at the Chancellery. The talks had been postponed late on Monday evening.

Scholz, Lindner and Habeck have been seeking a solution for days in three-way talks on how to close a billion-euro gap in the federal budget for 2024 following a budget ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court.
