Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania - Closure lifted after accident with coach on A24

The Autobahn 24 towards Hamburg is completely passable again in the direction of Hamburg after the bus accident with 16 lightly injured people. The bus was towed away, the police reported. The A24 was closed between the interchanges of Parchim and Neustadt-Glewe for approximately four hours. Six of the 16 lightly injured were taken to a hospital for further treatment. Two replacement buses brought the remaining passengers to a parking lot.

The bus from Polish Danzig had nearly 60 men, women and children on board, according to the police. The vehicle came off the road, as the first findings suggest, near the settlement of Blievenstorf in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to the left of the highway. "Probably due to inattention," said a police spokesperson. The tour bus is said to have collided with the median guardrail and a traffic sign.
