Environmental pollution - Cinemas in the new harbor of Bremerhaven

A oil film has formed in the new harbor of Bremerhaven. Emergency response teams detected a diesel smell and discovered the oil film in the western part of the harbor, as the fire department reported. To prevent the contamination from spreading further, the Technical Relief Organization deployed a 100 meter long oil boom. The water police are investigating who caused the oil film.

Statement of the Fire Department

The Fire Department stressed the importance of immediate action to combat environmental pollution, announcing the deployment of additional deployment resources from Bremen to aid in the situation. The oil film poses a significant threat to the local ecology, and the Fire Department is committed to mitigating its impact. The Fire Department is also working closely with the Technical Relief Organization to ensure efficient use of resources in controlling the oil spill.
