China reveals potential MI6 agents within its administration.

Two Chinese individuals, who were believed to be working for the British foreign intelligence service MI6, have allegedly been unmasked by China's State Security. Reportedly, a Chinese couple had been identified as spies, with the man, who was studying in the UK back in 2015 through an exchange program, being recruited by MI6.

Under the guise of getting to know each other better, undercover British intelligence agents developed a rapport with the man. Upon establishing trust, they allegedly handed him money in exchange for consultancy services. It was then that he was allegedly recognized as a potential spy and trained by the MI6, only to be sent back to China for higher pay. His wife, who was employed in an essential department, was also reportedly persuaded to gather information for the MI6.

As per the Chinese State Security, the case is still under investigation without any clear information provided on which departments the couple worked in or when they were discovered. As of late, the Chinese State Security has taken it upon themselves to increase their public relations efforts, repeatedly warning against spies and occasionally publicizing cases.

In January, a case was disclosed where the MI6 was supposedly involved, and in May, Britain accused three individuals of working for Hong Kong's intelligence agency - a former British colony and a current special administrative region of China.
