Children from Germany met with tragic outcomes following a dune incident.

While vacationing with their families in Denmark's North Jutland, two teenage Germans found themselves in a perilous situation. These lads, aged nine and twelve, were engaged in sand dune play, carving out a hole, when suddenly, the sand gave way beneath them. Trapped under the sand for a harrowing 40 minutes, both boys succumbed to their injuries.

As per the Danish authorities, these unfortunate events took place in the coastal town of Nørre Vorupør. The boys hailed from Munich, and their ordeal unfolded on a Sunday.

Upon discovering the boys buried under the sand mass, a frenzied rescue operation ensued. They were extracted from their dangerous predicament after approximately 40 minutes, sending a wave of relief through the rescuers. Subsequently, they were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. However, their status remained uncertain, leaving everyone on edge.

Sadly, the youngsters' condition worsened, and they passed away on Tuesday evening. The Danish police, based in the Middle Jutland region, shared this heart-breaking news. The incident is currently being labeled as a "tragic accident."

Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the boys had inadvertently induced a sort of cave-like structure within the dunes as they played on the beach. This may have played a role in triggering the subsequent landslide.

Aside from this incident, another landslide in the region affected a ten-year-old German boy on the same day. Fortunately, he escaped unharmed, thanks to a swift rescue mission.

The news of the boys' passing was met with deep sadness among their families and friends in Munich. This unfortunate turn of events has highlighted the dangers of sand dune play, urging caution for future visitors to Denmark's beaches.
