Rise in Domestic Homicides in Germany

As per official figures, there's been a substantial surge in domestic violence incidents in Germany. The most recent stats show over 256,000 victims in 2023, representing a 6.5 percent increase from 2022.

The statistics clearly illustrate that women bear the brunt of violence: In the preceding year, 155 women lost their lives at the hands of their partners or ex-partners.
