Car plunged into river: fire department frees driver
A woman drove her car off the road in Hagen and plunged several meters into a river. Rescue workers freed the driver from her car after the accident on Saturday morning, the fire department explained. She was treated at the scene and taken to hospital.
The cause of the accident was initially unclear. According to the fire department, the woman broke through a railing with her car before plunging down and landing on her roof in the Volme. The emergency services did not provide any further information about the driver.
