In the Hamburg Innenstadt, at Jungfernstieg, a severe accident occurs: In a collision between two vehicles, one of them is propelled into the entrance area of a bank filiale. Several people are injured, one of them critically.

At Jungfernstieg in the Hamburg Innenstadt, a car has driven into a crowd of people in front of a bank filiale. Four people were injured, according to a fire department spokesperson. One of the injured is reportedly critical, another is seriously injured.

The seriously injured individuals were part of the crowd that was present in front of and near the filiale. Approximately 25 first responders or eyewitnesses were present, according to the fire department spokesperson. The car was reportedly driving relatively fast. Initially, it was reported that the fire department would be assisting with around 50 emergency vehicles.

Fire department and police are treating it as an accident. The cause of the accident is still unknown. Investigators are making 3D scanner recordings of the accident scene. The identity of the accident perpetrator is also still unknown. According to the "Morgenpost," two cars collided at Jungfernstieg. One of the cars involved was reportedly a delivery van, which was allegedly propelled into the entrance area of the bank filiale upon impact.
