Two women and a man have died in a car accident in the southern part of Sachsen-Anhalt during the night on Monday. The car was carrying five people on a country road near Naumburg when the accident occurred, according to the police.

The car had veered off the road for unknown reasons and rolled down a slope or embankment. The police have not been able to provide any details about the exact sequence of events leading up to the accident.

Three of the five people were dead at the scene. There is no information yet on the severity of injuries sustained by the two other car occupants. The ages of the five people are not known, but it is believed they were likely young individuals, the police added.

The accident investigation is still ongoing.

This tragic incident has sparked concerns about international road safety, as the vehicle involved in the accident was reportedly headed towards Leipzig, an international hub. Furthermore, given the high frequency of traffic accidents on European roads, it's crucial to implement stricter safety measures to prevent such incidents.
