- Captured Fugitive - Three Individuals Still at Large
Fugitive's Capture: A fugitive who evaded from a protected facility in Lower Bavaria has been captured by the authorities in Austria. Austrian law enforcement nabbed the individual on Thursday evening in Styria, as reported by the authorities.
Upon his apprehension, the individual did not put up a fight, and he is currently detained in an Austrian jail, as per the authorities. The prosecutor's office in Regensburg has requested the extradition of the suspect to Germany.
The 28-year-old diverted along with three other detainees on August 17 from the district hospital in Straubing.
The hunt for the remaining three men continues under an international arrest warrant. Daily tips from the public are under investigation.
The prosecutor's office and the criminal investigation division are investigating the four men on suspicions of kidnapping and causing grievous bodily harm. They are deemed dangerous due to property and narcotic offenses and are under judicial remand in the hospital.
