Captured Abductor of Cologne Psychotherapist Found Guilty

Two individuals in Cologne were given lengthy prison sentences by the local court for abducting a female therapist and putting her in a box. The older offender was sentenced to eleven years, while the younger one received a sentence of eight and a half years. The court declared them guilty of aggravated kidnapping, which also included the infliction of serious bodily harm.

The perpetrators, now 40 and 55 years old, were accused of abducting the therapist of the 40-year-old in September 2023, as per the court's judgement. The 55-year-old is suspected of setting up a meeting using a false name to attack the woman. The 40-year-old, during this meeting, reportedly brought a box to the therapist's office and used chloroform to knock out the woman before forcing her into the box.

The duo allegedly took the box to an apartment, where they threatened the woman and demanded a ransom of 1.5 million euros. However, in the end, the woman was freed without any payment being made.

The accusations against the two individuals included not only abduction but also setting up a deceptive meeting and using chloroform to render the woman unconscious. Despite their demands for a significant ransom, the abduction incident eventually resulted in the woman's safe release.
