Bremerhaven police rescue a seal pup.

In Bremerhaven, authorities saved a baby seal that had become stranded in the city's fishing harbor. The pup, only a few days old, must have been separated from its mother. Local residents who spotted the animal contacted the rescue forces.

Together with a game warden, the animal was carefully captured. It weighed around ten kilograms. Following this, the seal was brought to the local seal rescue station. The police noted that the pup could now grow and become strong, hopefully returning to its natural habitat as soon as possible.

The authorities named the seal "Fussel", indicating that it's doing well.
