Rhein-Neckar-District - Brand in Sauna - three injured, high damage

At a single-family house fire in Heddesbach (Rhineland-Neckar-District), three people have been injured. Preliminary findings indicate that the fire started in the sauna of the single-family house, as the police reported. A 65-year-old resident was seriously injured and flown to a clinic by helicopter, a 72-year-old man was taken to the hospital by an ambulance with light injuries. Additionally, a 92-year-old neighbor suffered from light carbon monoxide poisoning due to an open window.

The now uninhabitable and dangerously unstable house was engulfed in flames at noon. Firefighting efforts lasted until evening. The Police estimated the damage to be around 400,000 Euros at evening. The Criminal Police Directorate Heidelberg is investigating.

The single-family house, located in Baden-Württemberg's Rhein-Neckar-District, was the site of a catastrophic fire that started in its sauna. Despite the heroic efforts of the firefighters, the house remained uninhabitable and dangerously unstable until evening. Fortunately, the local police were able to estimate the damage at approximately 400,000 Euros.
