Boy collapses and dies in gym class
During physical education class, a nine-year-old in Lahr, Baden-Württemberg, in the Ortenau district, collapsed on the sports field and later died in the hospital. According to a police spokesperson, the boy had to be revived at the scene of the incident on June 24th at a sports facility.
He was then flown to a clinic by a rescue helicopter, where he later passed away. Previously, several media outlets had reported on the incident. The police confirmed that a medical cause was the reason for the emergency. No investigations are ongoing, as there is currently no indication of external influence.
