In the Braunsdorf district of Krumpa, a flying bomb was successfully defused. According to Saalekreis' announcement, all evacuation measures have been lifted. A total of 300 people from 160 households had to leave their houses for the defusing operation in the morning. The defusing of the 250 kg bomb from the Second World War began around 10:00 am. A report of its successful defusing came in half an hour later.

For the residents, a shelter was set up in Krumpa's sports hall. A kindergarten was closed due to the defusing. Approximately 100 police officers were involved, as stated. Fire department response teams were also on site, according to the spokesperson.

The bomb was discovered before planned construction work on a photovoltaic power plant in a field. According to reports, several hectares of land were searched. The evacuation took place within a 750-meter radius of the discovery site. In the past, other munitions have been found and disposed of in this area.
