At a park in Delmenhorst, Niedersachsen, a six-member family was injured when a lightning struck a tree. Two of the injured were in critical condition, according to a police spokesperson.

The family - an adult and five children and adolescents - had been sitting under the tree in Graftwiesen-Park to seek shelter from the heavy rain when the lightning struck in the afternoon.
