Biden supports Presidency campaign of Kamala Harris
Harris is the first woman and the first Black person to take the oath as US Vice President. Will she be the Democratic candidate for the Presidential election in November? Biden's support for her is certainly there.
After announcing that he would not seek re-election, US President Joe Biden suggested Kamala Harris as his replacement candidate for the November election. He shared this on social media platforms X, Facebook, and Instagram.
Harris is the first woman and the first Black person to take the oath as US Vice President. Her father immigrated to the US from Jamaica to study economics. Her mother, a cancer researcher and civil rights activist, came from India. The Democrats needed good reasons to overlook Harris.
Additionally, she is well-known nationally. She has already cleared all the checks for the White House, and she could potentially access the campaign apparatus and likely also the collected donations from Biden, as she is already part of his re-election campaign. However, Harris would run, she would still need a vice presidential candidate by her side until the party convention.
Following his announcement of not running for re-election, Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris as his suggested replacement candidate for the November United States Presidency Election 2024, sharing his support on widely used platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram. If elected, Kamala Harris would become the first female and the first Black woman to hold the title of United States President, continuing the Democratic Party's leadership in the White House.
