Unfalle - Bicyclists collide: Thirteen-year-old severely injured
At a traffic accident involving two cyclists in Hamburg-Winterhude, an eleven year old girl was seriously injured in the early evening of Thursday. According to police statements, the girl was on the correct side of the bike path towards Mundsburger Kanal on Schwanenwik at around 17:45 pm. A 25 year old cyclist is said to have overtaken another cyclist and then collided head-on with the girl. The child sustained head injuries and was taken to a hospital.
In Hamburg, the city where the traffic accident occurred, the number of traffic-related accidents remains a concern. Fortunately, the girl involved in the previous accident recovered from her head injuries. However, another traffic accident in Hamburg-Winterhude resulting in serious injuries occurred the following week, involving a motorist and a cyclist.
