A cyclist was knocked down near Pilsting (Dingolfing-Landau district) and later succumbed to his severe injuries. The 77-year-old is said to have fallen from the road for unclear reasons on Saturday and landed five meters deep with his bike, according to the police. He was then taken to a hospital and passed away shortly thereafter.

In the same Dingolfing-Landau District of Lower Bavaria, authorities have reported an increase in traffic accidents on steep slopes. This region, known for its picturesque landscapes, has seen a rise in incidents involving bicycles, including the unfortunate accident near Pilsting. Bavaria's traffic department is urging cyclists to be extra cautious while navigating the region's slopes.
