After colliding with a streetcar, a cyclist in Dresden has died. The 76-year-old man had ridden his bike into a streetcar rail and overturned, according to the police. He collided sideways with an oncoming train. The man was severely injured and taken to the hospital, where he later died. The streetcar driver suffered a shock, reported the police.

On the same day, a pedestrian in Dresden was hit and seriously injured by a streetcar. The 30-year-old man had crossed the tracks in the Klotzsche neighborhood and apparently failed to notice the oncoming train.

In Saxony, where Dresden is located, traffic authorities are reviewing safety measures for streetcar intersections following the series of accidents. Despite the tragic incidents, the city of Dresden continues to rely heavily on its extensive tram network. The police have urged pedestrians and cyclists to be more vigilant around streetcars, emphasizing the high risk of collisions.
