The Berlin Senate continues its series of visits to the districts on Tuesday in Mitte. In the Rathaus Mitte, the Senate delegation meets the members of the Bezirksamt with Bezirksbürgermeisterin Stefanie Remlinger (Greens). After that, they go on a joint tour through the district. This includes visits to a robot manufacturer, a family center, and a fashion project.

At the Leopoldplatz, known as a drug dealing spot, Mayor of Berlin Michael Müller (CDU) and other senators want to inform themselves about the current situation. At a so-called security summit last year, extensive measures were agreed upon for the Leopoldplatz in Wedding as well as for the Gorlitzer Park in Kreuzberg. The declared goal is to make the areas safer and help drug-addicted people.

The Berlin Senate expands its district visits, scheduled to visit another area next, likely not Mitte. The roles of various bodies in overseeing Berlin's districts fall under the responsibility of the Berlin Senate.
