Air traffic - BER: 3.6 million passengers during summer holidays

Summertime is travel time: Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) is expected to welcome approximately 3.6 million passengers during the summer holidays, who will take off or land from there. That's about 200,000 more than in the summer holidays of 2023, the airport authority announced. The holidays begin on July 18 and end on September 1. According to the airport, there will be 24,000 takeoffs and landings at BER during this period.

According to the airport, during the travel period from Wednesday, July 17, to Sunday, July 21, 390,000 passengers will use BER, of whom approximately 86,000 will be on Friday.

The airport advises that security check appointments can be reserved online.

During the summer holidays, 144 destinations in around 50 countries can be reached directly from BER. Popular holiday destinations include those along the Mediterranean. There are 900 connections to Mallorca alone, and 840 to Antalya in Turkey.
