Belarus conducts extensive military drill
Russia finds a valuable partner in Belarus, strengthening its efforts against Ukraine. The Belarusian military is now engaged in a broad-spectrum military exercise, with no official announcement regarding the soldiers and equipment involved. Participants include units from operational command, special forces, rocket troops, artillery, air force, air defense, as collectively reported from Minsk.
This exercise is divided into two phases. During the initial phase, troops will be transported to the designated exercise areas and will fortify their positions there. Following this, the actual combat exercises will commence, according to sources from Minsk. The training grounds specified are located in the Brest region, adjacent to the western border of Belarus and Poland, and in the Gomel region, neighboring eastern Belarus and Russia.
Interestingly, both regions share a northern border with Ukraine. Belarus is under the authoritarian rule of Alexander Lukashenko and maintains a tight alliance with Russia.
