Contract signature - Bayern basketball players extend contract with veteran Harris
The FC Bayern keeps Basketball routine player Elias Harris. The 35-year-old extended his contract with the champion and cup winner by two seasons until 2026.
"I really feel good here and can develop both sportingly and personally further," Harris said in a club statement. Business manager Marko Pesic emphasized: "Elias is an important part of our team on and off the court, and it was not a question for us to give up on his experience and qualities."
The former national player, who had played several years in the Bundesliga for Brose Bamberg and a few months in Ludwigsburg, came to Munich in 2022.
At Bayern, he has been mainly a backup player with less playing time than the stars around the world champions Isaac Bonga or Andreas Obst.
Pesic said about Harris: "He still has a lot more in the tank and it's pleasantly reassuring that he is part of the core team that stays with us."
