Firefighters extinguished the flames until the early hours of Saturday morning, as the police in Brandenburg reported. No one was injured. The facade suffered damage, according to the police. The entire building is possibly unstable, as a spokesperson stated. The barrack is part of a former forced labor camp from the Nazi era and has not been in use for many years. The police are now investigating what caused the fire on Friday evening.

The barrack, located in the Barnim District's Wandlitz area of Basdorf, was once part of a historical forced labor camp during the Nazi era. The fire that occurred on Friday evening originated from within the same barrack, as confirmed by the investigating police in Brandenburg.
