Police - Barn burnt down to foundations - 90,000 Euro damage
At a barn fire in Anstedt, in the Diepholz district, approximately 90,000 Euro worth of damage has occurred. The roof of the building used as a machinery shed caught fire on Thursday evening, stated a police spokesperson today. The building and its inventory were then completely burnt down to the foundation. The barn owner, who attempted to put out the fire himself initially, sustained minor injuries, including a cut. The cause of the fire was initially unknown, so the police secured the fire scene. A nearby street was temporarily closed.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the barn fire in Anstedt, located within the District of Diepholz, in Lower Saxony. The owner of the floor millwood was treated for minor injuries after attempting to extinguish the fire.
