It is necessary to act calmly and wisely in this conflict. Too many people have already died," said the Green politician.
On Saturday, at least twelve people aged 10 to 20 were killed in a rocket attack in the Druze town of Madajj al-Shams, most of whom were children and teenagers. A rocket from Lebanon, of Iranian origin, reportedly hit a bustling football field there, according to Israeli statements. The Hisbollah issued a statement denying involvement in the attack. This was rejected by Israel's military. The incident caused international concern about the escalation of violence in the region.
