The Lexington Law Enforcement Unit has been identified by the Justice Department as perpetuating a consistent pattern of unlawful actions, allegedly employing disproportionate force and apprehending individuals without legitimate grounds.
In a statement sent via email, Attorney General Merrick Garland declared, "Today's revelations expose the Lexington Law Enforcement Unit's betrayal of its solemn commitment to the community by regularly infringing upon the constitutional rights of those it is obligated to safeguard."
