During the Football European Championship, authorities in Rheinland-Pfalz recorded a total of 39 offenses in connection with Public Viewing, Autokorso events, and jubilees. Most of these offenses involved mutual bodily injury offenses, property damage, insults, and violations of the Explosives Act due to the burning of pyrotechnics, according to the Interior Ministry in Mainz. Although there were occasional and expected offenses and misdemeanors related to the events, the police of the state drew a very positive conclusion.

Rheinland-Pfalz was not a host city for the tournament. Nevertheless, Interior Minister Michael Ebling stated: "From EM 2024, we will remember that it was an exciting and colorful football festival for all of us." We will not only remember an amazing sporting mega-event, but also a positive balance of police work in Rheinland-Pfalz.

The state therefore sent officials to the national security center in Neuss, who were experts for the respective fan scenes. The Rheinland-Pfalz Constitutional Protection Agency also participated. "And everywhere in the country, the police stations ensured that Public Viewings, Fancamps, and Autokorso events ran safely and as peacefully as possible," emphasized the SPD politician.

The Rheinland-Pfalz Police also supported several tournament venues with forces from the Readiness Police, the Dog Squad, and modern technology. "Rheinland-Pfalz forces were also in action during the escort of the national teams," added the politician.

The Football European Championship resulted in 39 offenses being recorded in Rhineland-Palatinate, primarily related to mutual bodily injury, property damage, insults, and violations of the Explosives Act due to pyrotechnics. Despite these offenses, the police deemed the events a positive conclusion.

Interior Minister Michael Ebling noted that the Football European Championship was a colorful festival for all, and the police work in Rhineland-Pfalz was also commendable.
