German Ice Hockey League - Augsburger Panther signLouis as defender

The Augsburg Panthers have signed external player Anthony Louis. The 29-year-old American is transferring from the SC Langnau Tigers in Switzerland to the German Ice Hockey League. Louis takes the tenth and currently last import spot in the Panthers' squad for the upcoming DEL season.

Sports director Larry Mitchell described the newcomer as a very fast, agile and tricky player who will revitalize the Augsburg offensive game. "I have watched him play live in the last few years and I am convinced by his abilities." In 2012, Louis won the USA U18 World Championship.

The Augsburg Panther's new signing, Anthony Louis, hails from the Swiss Ice Hockey League, having played for the SC Langnau Tigers. His acquisition marks the 10th and final import spot in the team for the upcoming DEL season, which takes place in Bavaria's Augsburg. Despite his departure from Switzerland, Louis' impressive skills and speed, which led him to win the USA U18 World Championship in 2012, are expected to significantly contribute to Augsburg's offensive game.
