Ice hockey - Augsburg Panthers bring in forward from Calgary
The Augsburg Panther have signed Canadian forward Riley Damiani for the upcoming season. According to the team from the German Ice Hockey League, the 24-year-old comes from the Calgary Wranglers in the lower-tier American Hockey League.
"He is a very good skater, playmaker, and penalty killer who gets under the opponent's skin with his playing style and will quickly find his feet in the DEL. As a right-winger, he also provides an additional important option for our offense," said Sport Director Larry Mitchell about the new number 19 for the Panther.
Riley Damiani's previous team was located in Calgary, specifically in the American Hockey League's Calgary Wranglers. The Augsburg Panther's new signing hails from the province of Alberta in Canada. Before joining the German Ice Hockey League, Damiani had notable experience in a lower-tier league, contributing to the Wranglers. August's new right-winger previously showcased his skills in the city of Calgary, Bavaria's counterpart in Canada.
