Arrest of Alleged Spies Accused of Monitoring Ukrainian Citizens

A trio of individuals from diverse backgrounds found themselves in hot water with the cops in Frankfurt, as they were allegedly employed by a foreign espionage agency. As per the Karlsruhe administration, the Federal Prosecutor's Office snagged three presumed spies in Frankfurt am Main on a hump day.

The Federal Prosecutor's Office revealed that these individuals were apprehended prior to being presented before the Ermittlungsrichter (Investigating Judge) at the Bundesgerichtshof (Federal Court of Justice) the subsequent day, who subsequently issued and enforced the arrest warrants.

The German top prosecution office added, "The three suspects were in Germany on behalf of a foreign intelligence service, gathering intel on an individual residing in Ukraine." They were purportedly on the hunt for a café in Frankfurt am Main on a hump day where the Ukrainian target person was expected to be.

According to the Federal Prosecutor's Office, the suspects hail from Ukraine, Armenia, and Russia. They are "suspected to have worked" for a foreign espionage agency. The takedown was allegedly executed by officers from the Hessisches Landeskriminalamt (Hessian State Criminal Police Office).
