Apple introduces satellite-assisted short message functionality.

To date, Apple hasn't fully embraced the AI journey as other tech giants. However, during WWDC, they might significantly up their game. At present, their focus remains on SMS.

Advancements in the field of technology - Apple introduces satellite-assisted short message functionality.

Apple is now enabling users to send brief text messages in locations with no mobile network reception by using a satellite connection. This feature will support iMessage chats between Apple devices as well as regular SMS. Emojis can also be transmitted through this system. Notably, Apple had previously provided an emergency call function via satellite.

During its yearly WWDC developer conference, Apple typically offers a preview into the software and features upcoming with their new device releases beginning in autumn.
