Fire department - Apartment fire in Schwerin - one seriously injured

At a fire in an apartment in Schwerin, the resident was severely injured. In the apartment on the upper floor of a multi-family house, a fire broke out in the night on Tuesday, as the police reported. The resident of the burning apartment had already rescued himself from the apartment when the fire department arrived.

He was severely injured and taken to a hospital. The spread of the flames to other apartments could be prevented by the fire department. The damage is estimated to be around 50,000 Euro according to initial assessments. The police have initiated an investigation for negligent arson.

The fire department's quick response was credited with preventing the fire from spreading to other apartments in the multi-family house in Schwerin. The arson investigation by the police is being conducted in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where the apartment fire occurred. The fire department also provided assistance to the injured resident, who was residing in Schwerin.
