The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued an official warning for parts of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Until 11 am, there is a risk of severe thunderstorms. This affects the district of Vorpommern-Ruen, the DWD reported. The storm will then move towards the northeast. There is a risk to life and limb from lightning strikes, uprooted trees, power lines, and flooded roads. The DWD had already warned of severe thunderstorms for the districts of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Vorpommern-Greifswald, and Vorpommern-Ruen the previous day.

The warning issued by DWD involves severe weather conditions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, specifically in the district of Vorpommern-Ruen. The main threat is from intense thunderstorms, which could lead to dangerous situations. The storm is predicted to shift towards the northeast after 11 am. Residents in Schwerin should also be vigilant, as they might experience weather disruptions due to this northeastern movement.
