Injured after shark attack - Another shark attack in Australia - Man in critical condition
At a beach near the well-known Australian seaside town of Port Macquarie on the east coast, a man was attacked by a shark. The 23-year-old was reportedly attacked by the shark at North Shore Beach, approximately 400 kilometers north of Sydney. He sustained injuries to his leg, according to the ABC, citing first responders. This was the third shark attack in this month in Down Under.
Emergency services were on the scene with several ambulances and a helicopter. The victim is reportedly in critical condition but not life-threateningly injured. "I'm shocked, many people go swimming in this area," the ABC quoted a local resident. It was initially unknown which shark species was involved.
