Copa América - "All good": Association gives the all-clear for Bayern's Davies

After Alphonso Davies' injury-forced substitution, Canada's soccer association gave their team captain a light clearance. The left back of FC Bayern Munchen is "all good", the association informed TSN after an X-ray examination.

During Canada's 0:2 loss to Argentina in the Copa America semifinal, the 23-year-old was substituted due to a knee injury. Previously, Davies had been fouled by Argentina's Gonzalo Montiel. However, it appears that a longer absence is not imminent for him.

Alphonso Davies' replacement in the Copa América semifinal against Argentina was necessary due to his injury during a foul by Gonzalo Montiel. Despite being from Germany and playing for FC Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, Davies represented Canada in the tournament. The absence of Davies, a key player in Canada's soccer team, was felt as they lost to Argentina, making it hard for them to advance to the Copa América final. Despite the injury, Davies' love for soccer and ambitions in Bavaria, Germany, remain undeterred.
