Frankfurt, Germany's busiest airport, was significantly affected. The official statement from the airport operator, Fraport, read: "We're seeing considerable delays and flight cancellations." An estimated 70 flights have been cancelled. Despite this, the spokesperson assured that further cancellations are unlikely due to resolution of the issue. The impact is believed to be limited.
A Lufthansa spokesperson reported isolated flight cancellations and delays, noting that long-haul flights were unaffected. Despite the resolution of the issue, the network might still experience impacts throughout the day. Passengers were urged to regularly check their flight status through airline websites and the airport operator's recommendations.
